Tragically, this has caused multitudes of people unnecessary doubt, confusion, and pain in their encounters with the Scriptures. In doing so, we have distorted their central message-and our view of God. But we have often equated them with the living Word Himself, even elevating them above the One to whom they point. The Scriptures are an essential aspect of the Christian faith. In this book we explore how I found the Incarnation when I wasn't looking for it and how it saved my faith. Not once a year, or one month a year, but literally a part of the Gospel message. Unfortunately most Churches included it as a cute story of mangers, shepherds, and old wise men, but the Early Church considered it essential to the message of the Gospel. ![]() Ask yourself another question do you think the birth of Christ is a part of the Gospel? What did it do, and is that important? In this book we explore what the birth of Christ, or the Incarnation, actually is and why it's important. Ask yourself a question, how many sermons on the birth of Christ have you heard in your life? How often is the "birth" talked about in Church? Usually once a year at a Christmas Eve service. All good things, but what if I told you something is missing? Particularly missing from the Evangelical Church. When you think of what the Gospel of Jesus is, what categories would you put in there? Probably things like forgiveness, repentance, heaven, hell, the Cross, the Tomb, and the finished work of Jesus.
